Got a problem...Read the Bible

My household is not exempt from problems, and we’ve been facing some real tough times lately. No, my family is not coming apart, but we’ve faced some real tough issues as a family. So, I got back to my habit of reading the Bible. As “luck” would have it, I had just started Reading Job when our troubles began. And he still returned to God. I knew that King David wrote most of the Psalms, but I never sat down and just read them one-after-the-other. It seemed that every time his enemies were about to get him, he prayed to God and asked for help. Sure enough, God always answered his prayers and King David responded with a Psalm of praise. If that was good enough for him, it’s good enough for me. I encourage you to pray for our nation, and for our leaders as we enter the 2012 National Election season. Pray that they will have the courage and wisdom to return us to “One nation under God,” and that our laws can be changed back to reflect the Christian principles which led us for some 200 years.
